My hubby and I have recently moved to AZ and I’m thinking we might go see our first rookie league game tonight. Would love to hear thoughts on the talent that’s here!

For AZL Cubs 1, infielders Fabian Pertuz and Pedro Martínez are the big names. For AZL Cubs 2, SS Luis Verdugo, corner OF/1B Abraham Rodriguez and 2B Reivaj García, who just got sent down from Eugene. The big name pitcher is Richard Gallardo on AZL Cubs 1 (got a $1 million bonus last July 2nd and is only 17). Gallardo might be starting today.

 

You just missed 2019 draftees like Chase Strumpf who got promoted to Eugene yesterday.

I know Maples struggled a bit with the mental side of the game early in his pro career, but it sure is weird why he's struggled so much in the bigs. The stuff is certainly big league caliber.
