6 shutout with 7 Ks for Carrera allowing 3 hits

He’s at a very solid 67.1 IP / 48 H / 4 HRs / 58 Ks this year. Also features a 2.54 ERA, picked off 3 guys, allowed only 16 BBs, one unearned run, and a .293 SLG (.095 IsoSLG) with a SPs workload. He’s given up 10 hits in his last 24 IP with 20 Ks, a HR, 5 BBs, and 3 ER.

With he and Marquez in SB, Lange reaching AA, and Gallardo debuting (among a large pool of arms in general) maybe next year the Cubs fnally make serious headway on developing a serious SP candidate

Nelson Velazquez was a late scratch last night

Can't wait to see a scouting report on him, to help us understand how excited we should be.

As a side note, to any of those on Twitter, that like prospects...... This dude has quickly become a must follow.

Yeah, nice breakdown, pretty much what I'd suspect, at this point from him. Add a couple MLB and develop a plus pitch and an above average, or multiple above average pitches, and we've got a serious prospect. Fornow, he probably falls somewhere between 15-25 or so, for me, but with his arrow pointing upwards. It'll be nice to see him make the NWL Top 20 from BA. I'm thinking he probably will.
