Well, unless it's a mistake, Carlos Morfa's disappearance is likely related to the fact he played today as a C. Went 2-3 with a 2B.

Cory Abbott struck out 10 in 6.2.

6.2 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 10 K

Yeah, nice night for Abbott who was weirdly (stupidly) ranked 19th in the lastest MLB.com Cubs top 30 behind Uelman (12th) and Thompson (13th) and just ahead of Thomas Hatch (20th).

Albertos strikes out 2 in the first inning. He also walked 2, allowed 3 hits, 4 ER, 1 wild pitch on 30 pitches (10 strikes). To be overly fair, one of those runs came in on another wild pitch by the guy who relieved him...

Navin had mentioned Pereda and Mekkes as the biggest omission and I agree.

Yeah, leaving them off the list entirely is just weird. I'm not as high on Pereda as others, but he's still 20-25 for me solidly. They've got Norwood and Maples in there. I'd have Hatch off the list for sure. The reports they have of Uelman's and Thompson's stuff is way different than what I've seen in games. But I haven't watched every one of their outings for sure.

Are you telling me that Morfa morfa-d into a catcher? Like how larva Morfthra becomes Morfthra even?!

It's undocumented, but it appears as if this is, in fact, what has happened.

They're buying Uelman's sinker over Abbott's slider, which I disagree with. BA also had Thompson ahead of Abbott.

Hatch had a nice game today, at least. 7 Ks in 5 innings.

33% strikes. Is that good?
