This is what had me wondering about this trade. With Hosmer signed long term at 1st and Tatis eventually at 3rd, if Mejia doesn’t stick at C, is his bat good enough to be a plus corner outfielder?

 

At this point, i’m sure the Pads are just in asset acquisition mode and are less concerned about how things shake out a few years from now. But it will be interesting to watch.
