I'm fairly pleased that Matt Swarmer's stuff seems to be holding up a level. Gonna need more data to really know, but that's a nice plus.

I think it's time to say bye to Jake Stinnett. There's enough arms looking for an opportunity.

It feels so weird to see Trey Martin doing well. I recall the blurbs here and there about how the Cubs internally were quite high on him back in the day.

I'm still of the opinion that having Ademan go down to South Bend isn't the worst idea. Obviously, different players so a lot of different factors, but I recall a 20 year old Jeimer Candelario struggling in Daytona to start, and getting sent back down to ... Kane County? It's not the end of the world, and I just don't know how much benefit it is to keep Ademan at a level that he's clearly struggling at.

WTF?????? Or I can ask it in another way...... WTF??????

That's gotta be a hot gun. But, even if it is, we've known he's obviously a guy with serious upside. This puts it in some perspective anyway.

Yeah, something had to be wrong with the gun. I think AZ Phil had him low 90s like 2 weeks ago. But Marquez was great for 3 innings. 2 of his 3 hits given up were of the groundball variety. 0 BBs. 6 Ks. He lost it in the 4th with 2 BBs and a HBP, but that’s something to work from.
