The Cincinnati Reds and Kansas City Royals have each won three games this season. Royals manager Ned Yost earned some slack since he’s three years removed from winning the World Series. Reds manager Bryan Price ... said the word “horsefeathers” 77 times after losing a game in 2015. The team fired him today.

Price had a 279-387 record over five seasons managing the Reds. In his place will be Jim Riggleman, best known for walking out on the Nationals after they didn’t give him a contract extension[.]

Can’t say Price had much to work with. And pretty much the entire team is hurt this year.

It’s wild to think that after 2013 they’d won 90 games three out of four years and had a decent core of young players. And that franchise just fell apart. Arroyo, Phillips and Ludwick got old. Bruce’s production completely fell off. Bailey, Latos, and Mesaroco all got hurt and never were good again. Cingrani never panned out. And they traded Leake, Frazier, Cueto and Chapman before they hit free agency and got very little back in return - Duvall, Schebler (hurt) and Finnegan (hurt).

You can fix the original, but we all see the replies....we know what you did!

I’ve read comments from many Reds fans who inexplicably think Barry Larkin would lead them to the promised land

I think Barry Larkin could be a very good hitting coach, but I haven't been impressed by his work on MLB network. In all honesty, it doesn't matter who they hire -- the Reds aren't winning this division anytime soon. #FreeVotto
