random thought as i marvel at how many good young players we've developed entirely or mostly in our system. i'm at a point now where i'd be more surprised if we had a top prospect come up and not (at least eventually) succeed. such a 180 from my mentality about prospects even 4-5 years ago.

 

now that i'm more aware of how much of a real thing player development is and the fact that it's not all pixie dust and mirrors, i wish i could see what this regime would've gotten out of corey patterson
