We are still playing in coors 2.0 against a bad and potentially hurt pitcher and hopefully get in to that sweet, sweet bullpen soon. This thing isn't over yet

Regardless of the outcome it's nice that, at the least, we get the residual effect the rest of the series of them having to use their bullpen for 6 innings tonight

We got dominated by one of the worst pitchers in baseball then he got hurt what is going on here.

Could easily have 3-5 runs right now, said hurt and worst pitcher. Good news is we now get the worst bullpen to face

Probably got to give up 9 before we can score on the Reds.

well give them all up early so we have more innings to score on them.

Heyward is so messed up right now. He needs to be a defensive replacement only in the playoffs.

Sure, just "right now."

He had a .744 OPS on July 24. He's been awful since then, though.

He was putting up at least a semi-respectable season after re-working his swing. But, now he's fallen into his old habits and he's as bad as he was last year.

Good idea to let the pitcher get on with two outs, thus not having to pitch to Hamilton to start an inning.

Just a blip in the anchor that will be his contract.

Maybe. I think there's still a possibility he can get fixed. I'm not counting on it or anything. But we saw signs of it this year. Last year, his season high in OPS was .682. It was never higher at any point in the year. He was awful from Day 1. At least this year, he wasn't a complete black hole for the whole season. He might not have been great or anything, but his OPS was well over .700 for most of the season. So, there's something in there. He could be more than an anchor.

It doesn't matter now, though, because he's in the same shape he was at this point last year. There is no hope for him the rest of this year, for sure. He's horsefeathering done.
