That's a ridiculous lineup. I do t even know who is on the US team but it can't be better then that.

I made mention of this earlier in the week when BA and BP published their midseason top prospect lists. Each had 8 of the top 10 being Latin American IFAs.

And Verdugo and Naylor were drafted guys, so that makes the lineup even more stacked internationally.

Seriously, this doesn't compare:

Albertos doing good things

Paredes 3-4 with two BBs and a double

Season ends today, is there anyone who doesn't have Paredes safely tucked inside our top 10?

4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 K for Alzolay. Two of the base runners he allowed were thrown out on the bases - a CS and a pickoff by his catcher.

1-2-3 5th inning with 2 more k's and a groundout.

Last I looked I had 5 hitters ahead of him(Eloy, Burks, and the AAA trio), and on the pitching side you've got an increasing number of interesting options plus the draft class. Short answer, I don't know if I would.

Agreed. I just came up with a list and had Paredes at 12. Obviously I only put a couple minutes of thought into it, but it shows he's no slam dunk for the top 10.

1. Eloy Jimenez

2. Dylan Cease

3. Adbert Alzolay

4. Brendon Little

5. Alex Lange

6. Jose Albertos

7. Thomas Hatch

8. Charcer Burks

9. Jeimer Candelario

10. Victor Caratini

11. Mark Zagunis

12. Isaac Paredes

Wow. All pitchers 2 thru 7. How times have changed.

That said, there's a lot of subjectivity in any top ten ranking in this organization right now. We could see a lot of valid variation amongst people's rankings this year.
