With a juiced ball this season, I think it's weird KB only has five dongs since May 26 and last hit one June 22.

For as much crazy horsefeathers as Joe does, he's handled Butler perfectly this year. He gets every single out possible out of him, without letting him hurt us. It would be nice if we had a true piggyback for him, like he was doing with Monty. But he's at least able to give us 4 or 5 innings without getting torched, and Joe nearly always removes him at the right time.

I think I like it but of course there's 4 more innings in the game and there could be another higher leverage inning he would be of better use in.

 

I guess with how Strop has been pitching lately you sort of have another high leverage fireman type of guy you can slot in there later in the game.

I think I like it but of course there's 4 more innings in the game and there could be another higher leverage inning he would be of better use in.

I enjoyed it. Give us a clean inning with the big part of the order, and then give us a chance to add on runs and make the 7th and 8th even less meaningful.

Last one was 104 mph. Both over 70% hit probability. Not that he hasn't been bad, but agreed on oddly timed.
