Week 2 Eagles (1-0) @ Bears (0-1), MNF 7:30 ESPN/780

I don't really think you understand how close the Bears were to actually having a good record last year.

I understand that you think that is the case but that has more to do with your insistence that weird things happen to your teams than the Bears actually being any good last year. They were very bad. Easily the bottom half of the league. They remain so now.

Saying victory or loss regularly hinged on one or two plays isn't the sign of a good team.

it's a sign of good play calling, if you concede that the team was bad.

as I said, even if you concede the team was bad, the fact that they were positioned to win in almost every game, leading late in the 4th in a few, is a sign that the play calling was very good.

This team is suffering from a bad OC.

We should have pulled a Tampa Bay and fired Fox to promote Gase.

Or it's a sign of having better players. Or different injury issues. Or whatever issues the other team was dealing with.

considering the Bears had Wilson/Mariani/Bellamy as their WR corps most of last season, I'd say that the offense has better players this year.

I cannot believe that you will not at least give me this point, brah.

They didn't go from 8th to 32nd because Josh Bellamy is playing less.

He's a better play caller, but they'd still be looking worse than last year if he was around. They're a terrible team. You're ascribing WAY too much to the playcalling; it can't fix a bad running game basically turning into a crater fire.
