So Djokovic retired immediately after an 80 minute first set today that he lost in a tiebreak. Shitty situation for sure. But what if he wins the first set? If he then loses the second set, does he retire immediately then? Like the injury was bad enough to make him retire right away. Did he really think he could make it through 2+ more sets against the No. 2 ranked player? And if he wins, what then? The injury likely isn't going to get better in the next two days. I'm not sure what else he was supposed to do. It's just a weird situation.

Final four is set for the ladies'. It's up to Anisimova and Bencic to save us from another grand slam title for the usual suspects.

I have been rooting for Anisimova throughout this tournament. A win for her would be huge and very much deserved. That semi could go either way. Sabalenka hasn't played her best. Swiatek seems like a lock to beat Bencic.
