I know Donnie DeWees isn't as sexy as Eloy, but when does he get promoted? 19 and raw, there's no rush for Eloy. But DeWees is 22 at the lowest level possible. And while he did crash back to earth after his red hot start, he's quietly rebounded to the tune of .256/.348/.462 over the past 10 games. And it's not like there's anyone really blocking him at the next level.

I've been speculating the lack of promotion has something to do with being able to trade he or Happ already. Might as well keep them at levels where it is sure they won't kill any positive perceptions. If Happ is struggling in High A, not sure Dewees wouldn't struggle worse as he is the less powerful hitter.

I'd tend to think the opposite; that his lack of promotion could raise a red flag. It's not like anybody's going to be fooled by his numbers as a 22 year old in Low A.
