jay with one of the best 3 INT games I've ever seen.

Between being pressured and questionable play from receivers, it's hard to be too mad about any of those.

i have only passively watched parts of this game, but i just saw a tweet about jay having 3 picks and a 97.5 rating? wtf did he throw every TD and complete like 90% of passes?

So 12 of the 16 games (and 11 of last 13) were decided by 1 score. Bears went 5-7 in those games and 1-3 in the blowout games.

Kind of shows you how occasionally a bad team will have a fluky 10-6 playoff season because they ended up winning an unusually high percentage of those close games.

Until the next to last drive, there was only 1 ball that hit the ground from Jay. At one point he was 15-18, with 2 INTs and 1 dropped pass. He also hit on a few deep balls and finished with well over 10 ypa and 2 TDs. Of the 3 INTs, 2 he was hit (by Ziggy Ansah) as he threw and the other was a DPI that didn't get called.

And looking like Brandon Marshall will still have never made the playoffs. And on 2 different teams that finished 10-6 and didn't make it.

Meh on Marshall as a person but I would have liked to have seen what he could do in a playoff game.

great timing for the conversation i overheard while picking up my food about 45 minutes ago, then.

old guy "where'd they get cutler from again? boston?"

other guy "naw, denver."

stafford completes a sidearm pass

other guy 2 "he's always been great at that."

old guy "yeah, what's cutler great at? do you wanna tell me?"

other guy "cashin his check"

other guy 3 "[expletive] it up when it matters most. waiting for just the right moment and BAM"

old guy again "and this guy was the second highest paid quarterback in the league or something right? that's why i asked where he played before...what'd he do that they wanted this guy... guess they liked his wife or something."

somehow i managed to avoid saying anything but i believe steam could probably be seen coming out of my ears.

when i overhear stuff like this constantly in public about sports, i have to disagree with the people who think boers and bernstein pick and choose bad callers. they don't have to.

Bears in the 11th spot in the draft, if Tampa loses to Carolina. 10 if they pull off the W. And Brandon Marshall just finished his 2nd 10-win season for a team that watches the playoffs. 10 years = 10 non playoff teams.
