Schwarber's in RIGHT field?

Huh.

I have no idea why they'd have Schwarber in RF and Coghlan in LF. Coghlan has played some RF already this year (TT may disagree with my choice of word "play"). I wonder if Al got those two mixed up.

Schwarber was in RF yesterday, too. I didn't watch the whole game, but I saw him handle a couple chances cleanly. Neither belong there and I don't think you'll see either there in the playoffs.

Schwarber played RF last night(and in two other games), Joe is using the meaningless games to get a better handle on what guys are most comfortable in what spot, I imagine.

There has been discussion of Schwarbs playing RF in Pitt. With the dimensions of PNC park, it's better to have a superior defender in LF. Joe is likely gauging whether Schwarbs can be comfortable with that switch now.

I think the lineup and defensive alignment we saw last night is what we'll get Wednesday. Coghlan's been struggling, Starlin has to be in there, and La Stella has been hitting well. Maddon's also said he likes TLS vs high velocity.

uh...aren't you missing a few games there, Fred? Is there something significant about the last 61 games to use as a cutoff?

You're right. I forgot that I had a filter on the database. It's been "updated".

Clearly we need to avoid having Junior Lake or Mike Baxter starting in RF on Wednesday.

I would prefer Brian Schlitter stay out of that but Arrieta don't need a bullpen.
