Let's keep it going and put the Giants six feet under. This offense is so good right now. We are catching the Pirates and the Cardinals.

The Giants might just play themselves into the NL West lead.

Listened to most of the game as I drove from NY to Indiana, wow... this team is something else. Got to my hotel just in time to hear the back to back homers. A few thoughts:

1. None of you will believe it, but even I believed they were going to find a way to win after going down 7-3. If I'm developing the swag, you know something special is going on.

2. GREAT to see not only 1. Cubs taking advantage of wind blowing out but 2. basket karma paying them back in a hurry.

3. Our bullpen, for the most part, is awesome. Dan Haren, is not.

4. For all you yahoos who mocked me the other day for saying that the basket was impenetrable by fans, our very own Pat Hughes said he was under the very same impression when Russell hit his homer (which is weird because it just happened with Cabrera on Tuesday). Anyway, it's not just me. It's a guy that has been calling Cubs games for almost 20 years...

I know it's stupid to lament on losses but if the Cubs had not blown that game to the Cardinals at Wrigley, they would be 5 games out currently.

(Cue replies about games we improbably won evening it out)

And the one we blew after being up 5-0 in the first inning.

Oh well, 6.5 back now.

Dodgers moving around their rotation. Looks like we will see Kershaw but no Greinke. Bumgarner Haren much up looks like fun. Just need one of 3 in SF.

Of the division-leading Pirates.
