I'll have to go back and check, but don't recall the Cubs sucking on offense at the beginning of the season.

 

They weren't 7 games over 500 then either. They were 15-15 at one point and not in a playoff spot, they are now 7 games over and in a playoff spot.

 

The offense sucks, the team does not.

 

But I'm trying to tell you, this team won't end up anywhere if it sucks like this. And there is no indication it won't. It's cool if you are choosing to look at the here and now, but this is a big flaw that I don't see going away and it will be our downfall.
