Would it be fair to say that the Giants and Mets are the only two teams that are currently a threat from keeping the Cubs outta the Wild Card game? If that game comes up and was tomorrow a do you start a playoff experienced Lester or Arietta who has been lights out at times this year? This is if the Cubs get the opportunity to choose.

I'd rather go with Arrieta, especially if Lester would still require a David Ross start in an elimination game. If the scheduling requires Hammel to get the nod, that wouldn't be bad, either.

I'm still holding out hope on the offense heating up in the 2nd half and making a run at the division.

I am too. Why do I always do this? :banghead:

If you were doing that the past few years, you are a better man than I.

Well, definitely not for the Cubs making a run. Even then I would convince myself that Mike Olt's new contacts would solve everything for him, Pie would become an All-Star, Prior would throw more than towels, Dunston would develop...wash, rinse, repeat.
