Matt Williams is such a terrible manager. Thanks, Matt, for wasting your challenge and making sure it wouldn't be available to you at on a key play late.

With some of the idiocy he's pulled, especially relating to how they've treated Harper, I hope he continues to manage that franchise into the ground.

not the right view.

the other angles showed he was never close to his left arm. this is the angle that shows his left arm beat the tag, though the picture itself doesn't show how rizzo's arm wasn't being pulled back after the tag. his glove hit the dirt.

Like I said earlier...he tagged him in the face long after the arm had reached the bag.

Can you challenge that late or do you just ask the umps for a review?

If you have your challenge, it's valid the entire game, is it not? If Williams hadn't used it on the safe/out at second early on, it would have been available for him to demand a challenge on the pickoff.

I believe once it's been used, you can ask nicely but the umps don't have to oblige.

Are you trying to say he was out?

David Ross is everything that Jim Hendry kept telling himself that Koyie Hill was.

if ross ever catches when hammel starts against the AL it would be funny as hell if joe DH's for ross instead lol

Do you think the umps were like "yeah we could grant you this critical review, but the Cubs guys already went through their handshake line and its after midnight so nah"?
