No idea what happened, but Javy was at bat, and Gameday was all in play (runs.) Then there was a pause followed by Iowa Cubs manager ejected. Javy finished his AB, and after another pitch (foul) and an in play (outs) Javy was ejected.

Jeremy Null walked a guy today. :(

But 8 scoreless today to run his scoreless streak to 21.2 consecutive innings.

At the game here in Nashville. Javy went yard deep down the left field line, fair ball, long gone. Initially called a HR and then the umpires get together for a min and declare the ball foul. I proceed the call the ump a chickenshit after he runs the manager. Javy then flies out to the wall in left on the next pitch. After the fly out he runs by the 2b ump and gives him an earful, earning himself an early exit.

Hearing that Pevey was tossed arguing a ball Baez hit that was first ruled a HR and then reversed to foul. Details sketchy. I'm not there.

Apparently the same ump crew reversed a Villanueva HR on Sunday too.

Where has Javy been playing in his limited time back? SS? 2B?

For a guy who had the yips at the start of the year, Ben Wells has pitched fairly well out of the pen with Myrtle Beach since coming back. Now that he's in short stints, I'd be very curious to hear what his FB velocities are. Back in Boise, there were reports of 94-95, but wild. He tamped that down a bit, but that was to work as a starter. Wonder (admittedly, it's early, but I'd always liked the potential Wells offered) if he could be a power sinker pen arm type, a la Zach Britton.
