The Nationals have been linked to Scherzer, could see them trading one of Zimmermann or Fister and signing Scherzer.

Trade for Zimmermann, sign Scherzer, enjoy tasting Washington's tears.

I thought there were reports that Detroit wouldn't be pursuing him. And I find it somewhat unlikely (or at least odd) that the Yankees would go after him given how they weren't at all interested in Lester.
