Trade Thoughts?

I was proposed this:

 

Sproles/G Tate

 

I give:

 

Ellington/Sankey

 

Sankey is strictly a beach option as I've mentioned before and WR depth is rather weak (starting Colston who has been infuriating this year). RB I'm good with Foster/Lynch/Ivory/etc. it's a PPR league.

 

I know Tates stock should fall a bit when CJ comes back. But, Ellington is also playing hurt all year and I've been scared to death his foot will shred one day. Crazy for thinking about it? I honestly just saw it and haven't researched Sproles outlook going forward enough, but knew I'd like to see if anyone wanted to weigh in, regardless.

 

Nevermind. I rejected and the guy countered with:

 

I get: Golden Tate/Reggie Bush

 

I give: Chris Ivory/Bishop Sankey

 

I accepted in a heartbeat.

 

Since Ivory/Sankey was the package I got for Torrey Smith/Russel Wilson, I essentially traded my backup QB and Torrey Smith for Golden Tate and Reggie Bush.

So, now that Calvin Johnson is back and bye weeks are mostly over. It appears I have a surplus at WR.

 

Johnson and Nelson are my starters, leaving my flex between Sammy Watkins and Odell Beckham. Both look like future stars. Non-keeper league though.

 

My question is.....would you trade either Watkins or Beckham for a RB? Would you trade Johnson for a stud RB?

 

I have Luck at QB, but at RB I only have Ellington in stone. Low end RB1/high end RB2. But after that I only have Lamar Miller, who is hurt and only played 11 snaps Sunday with a game Thursday this week. And Ben Tate who is part of a 3-way RB committee and I don't trust to start. So, I'd like to upgrade my #2 RB for the playoff run. Thoughts?

New trade proposal, please help me decide.

 

Very deep league, 12 teams and start 3 RB and 4 WRs. I started 1-5 but have won 4 in a row and am primed for a playoff spot.

 

My WRs:

AJ Green

Martavius Bryant

Rueben Randle

Larry Fitzgerald

(Denard Robinson is a WR and RB)

 

My RBs:

Arian Foster

Branden Oliver

Denard Robinson

Darren McFadden

D'Angelo Williams (was only on roster to fill Foster and Olivers byes)

 

The proposed trade is Bryant for Terrance West

 

Should be a no brainer right? Oliver sucked and Ryan Matthews is back. I need a 3rd RB. Can I trust that West is going to be getting most of the reps for the Browns moving forward? Because otherwise, I was considering making Bryant a keeper if he keeps up his production.

Raw, I would try to package Watkins/Beckham and Miller/Tate for a RB (I'd prefer to trade Watkins and Tate). Maybe you could only get a mid number 2 runningback for them, but you definitely need depth there.

 

UM, I don't trust West at all to keep the job in Cleveland. I can see why you would want to make the deal as far as roster construction, but I'd maybe try to find another RB candidate. Selling high on Bryant would make sense though, his TD's seem so unsustainable.

Thanks....there is nothing out there for RBs in FA, so I would have to look the trade route. Bryants TDs are clearly unsustainable, but he's putting up those numbers playing only half the snaps as he works himself into the rotation..he's clearly a talent but not sure his keeper value as he will obviously continue to be behind Brown as the Steelers #1 WR.

I offered Watkins for Vereen, and was turned down with no feedback. May try a package deal for Watkins/Tate.

 

 

As for the other trade, I actually think if any of Cleveland's guys get a leg up on the competition, it's West. They invested a draft pick on him (Crowell UDFA). And he's simply better than Tate. Got 26 carries on Thursday night, and is a goaline type of back despite having the fewest TDs of the trio. I'd probably do the deal, but definitely see what else is out there.

It's a 14 team league and my best receiver is Hilton (have a decent amount of depth at WR) but am lacking at the RB position since Zac Stacy was a complete bust and Ben Tate has been passed by West. I'm currently starting Tre Mason at my one RB position (1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex)

 

My current TE is Vernon Davis, also a huge disappointment, but I can flex Gates out.

 

I'd be losing my best WR, but potentially could replace Hilton with Gates and gain another starter in West. RWhite sits on my bench right now, so he's not a big loss at this point.

Don't do that. Hilton is the best player in that deal by far. Gates could realize he's old as dirt any day now. Though that's unlikely, Hilton is the leading WR (top 3 in the league in yards) for a team that will break passing records for yards and attempts this year. Keep Hilton.
