Can't imagine Jackson will be staying in the rotation, especially with Turner nicely lined up to take over since he's "starting" the suspended game tomorrow.

Does WICU have student interns working the cameras tonight?

Two more years of Jaxon? No way. What are they going to do?

What they are going to do is pray that he can start the season with some level of competence and hope they can jettison him while eating 75% of the last 1.5 years on his contract.

If not, then he becomes a long reliever that pitches once every 2 weeks. Then by June of 2016 he is DFAd

Contra is going through some really rough times..Seems he's missing a lot of hittable pitches or striking out looking every time I see him up.

You must have missed his first AB, when he struck out swinging.

Can someone give me some realistic options for what to do with Jackson? Do we just let him keep pitching? DFA and eat it? Soriano deal if even possible? More concerned about his taking up a spot next year than this one obviously but man....there has to be a better option (Turner). How is Edwards doing in Iowa? Beeler?

What happens if he says no/causes a big stink about it?

Tell him tough [expletive]: You have an ERA over 6. Or DFA. It doesn't make sense to DFA him right now, with us not in contention and rosters soon to expand. You would rather not. But, at this point, who cares? It's a sunk cost.

Edwards is at Tennessee.

Turner, Straily, Doubront (one more rehab start) and Beeler are all better, more likely options.

[expletive] him.

I've had as much patience with Jackson as anyone, but the ability to groove dick-high fastballs is not highly sought after. I think he's ridden that 8 BB no-hitter about as far as he can.

He's not going to. He's been very honest and blunt to the media about his poor performance all season (he actually sounds like a really good guy, FYI). This was tonight:

@CSNMooney: E-Jax says “no one wants to be moved" to bullpen "but if it happens the only thing you can do if you don’t like it (is) pitch your way out."

Well, that's good to see. If in the same position, I would probably have a defeatist attitude. It's got to be tough on him to be going through this; it's not like he wants to suck.
