You're thinking of Teuvo Tervainen. Javy will arrive in a sedan chair.

Made this version as well. Perhaps more appropriate.

Okay, I've seen an iteration of this posted multiple times, but I don't understand the reference. Can someone explain what this is from? And what exactly is going on?

it's from the movie BABES IN TOYLAND: http://www.sadanduseless.com/2010/02/creepy-fiddle-playing-cat-and-spastic-mouse/

i watched that movie one too many times as a child.

The original. It's apparently from a Laurel and Hardy film called "March of the Wooden Soldiers"

The clip in question. It's really creepy

Okay, but why is it used in conjunction with certain Cubs events? I still don't know what exactly is supposed to be happening or why it relates to the Cubs. Or maybe I'm overthinking it and it's just supposed to be one person having a blast and the other being miserable?

In the spirit of comparing players per the Baseball-Reference site, what would everyone's top 10 comparable list look like for Javy as of today?

There's really no comping Baez easily. His primary defining attribute is his power, and that is really rare in the middle infield.

Here's the entire list of 2B and SS with a career ISO over .200:

Alex Rodriguez

Alfonso Soriano

Ernie Banks

Troy Tulowitzki

Rogers Hornsby

Jeff Kent

Nomar Garciaparra

Dan Uggla

Chase Utley

Jose Valentin

Hanley Ramirez

Only Soriano, Uggla, and Valentin posted K% over 20%. So maybe Soriano or Uggla with plus defense at 2B? Or Valentin without any reason to expect a career .272 BABIP?
