I'm about 60/40% NO right now on Renteria. He's played a little too much small ball for my taste in some situations, plus I do not care for the batting order most days. Yesterday notwithstanding, Lake should never be batting 2nd if Valbuena is playing, or ever for that matter.

I suppose he deserves some credit for Rizzo & Castro bouncing back. Also like how he's bringing the young pen along. I approve

Rizzo and Castro playing much better than last year, bullpen use has seemed pretty reasonable (although it helps when you have actual useful options back there) and the bunting has dropped off a bit. I haven't been real excited about some of the running they've done recently on the bases, but overall I think he's a vast improvement over Sveum and I give him a positive review thus far.
