Javier Baez to the DL, left ankle sprain.

@TommyBirch: Iowa Cubs say that Baez suffered the injury while taking grounders during batting practice before Friday's game at Memphis. #Cub. #MiLB #PCL

Sprained ankle is much much better than sitting out for back trouble, good news.

Bruno gets his first AA HR, Bryant has a walk and a stolen base.

Pretty sure I read Underwood came into camp last year somewhat out of shape.

Excellent results in his first outing for sure.

Eh, doesn't sound like anything major. I'm not worried.

I'm not worried. I'm just sick and tired of not having Javy box scores to look at.

Nice ending to the Underwood start. He had runners at 2nd and 3rd with nobody out and worked out of it with 2 strikeouts and a fly out.

He didn't allow an extra base hit, and one of the three singles was an infield single.

Did he maintain the mid 90's velo throughout the start?

The Beacon-News[/url]"]In the three innings Underwood was in there, he flashed a 95 mph fastball and allowed a run on three hits, walking one and striking out five.

“I definitely was a little nervous, but I have a great group of guys around me,” Underwood said. “I felt good. My arm was good, which was a good sign. I was able to use my lower half, so I was able to get something behind my pitches.”
