You may technically be right on both points. But it's a solid hit. Penalize that and you might as well ban checking.

I want a cheap shot on captain coconut.

[expletive] [expletive] now Sharp took a dirty cross check.

Oh wait it was his own guy. Thought it was the cross check by Bortuzzo.

Engblom is right. Toews has his head down like a high schooler on that play.

I just don't like someone lining up our captain and exploding through him leaving his feet like that. Toews lost focus there though.

I agree, I do have this nagging feeling that there's a lack of respect there because it's Toews. I know that's dumb and I wouldn't care if somebody trucked Crosby. But you didn't see Savard getting hit like that.

Brutal hit. But clean.

So a shoulder to a guy's head is clean? I'm not a hockey nut, but that just seems counter intuitive to me based on all the emphasis on concussions. Can you explain?

Shoulder was main point of contact, not the head. He did end up getting him in the head. But his balance was off. I'd have to see it more but it's really hard to hit a guy with his head down without at some point hitting his head. But that's a check you have to make.

The only reason they got any scoring chances at all in the third is the D started pinching in aggressively.

Did you watch the [expletive] game? Pitt couldn't clear their zone for minutes at a [expletive] time.

Yeah that was the story for the last 30 minutes of the game, really. Credit Fleury for standing up to the onslaught.

Toews injury looked like a shoulder, though they'll never tell us. That could be it for this season if he can't be back by the playoffs.

[expletive] this season

This team is the opposite of the Bulls. Relax and wait for the playoffs. We can beat them all. I wouldn't feel too bad if Toews got a little break here.

I don't think Colorado is ready to run with the bulls yet. And this is major rationalizing, but maybe it's better for them to have home ice. Those kids will be feeling the pressure. Steal a game there and you're back in the driver's seat.

When Sulley is telling you to step back from the ledge, you may be overreacting a tad

Maybe because this team has achieved the highest level of success before. I'd feel the same way if I were a Heat fan.

I'm a hockey novice but how can that not be a dirty hit? He left his feet and threw an elbow into Towes's head.

Made contact with the shoulder first, and didn't leave his feet before making contact. He'd have to leave his feet, and make contact with the head first for it to be considered a dirty hit.
