The ND game tonight was disgustingly ugly, but they beat a ranked team, so I guess I'll take it. It'll make me chuckle if they're ranked tomorrow.

sorry to all those that bet northwestern +7/+7.5

Brent Musberger tipped his hand with his disgust on the final play.

Pac-12 crew overturns a 4th-down catch ruling with absolutely nothing resembling indisputable evidence, again to benefit the higher-ranked team. So that's 3 of those today.

Was it really tough to believe? I was pulling a kyle and watching it online and it looked like an obvious trap. You could see it pass right through his arms.

It looked like it MAY have hit the ground. But by the standard of review (indisputable video evidence), there was no angle that came close to justifying an overturn.

Replay officials have blatantly ignored that standard so consistently over the last 7 years that they really ought to just strike it from the rulebook.

Just didn't seem like there was enough evidence to overturn it but it probably wasn't a catch.

I was pretty sure it should have stood when it happened, but there's a screencap circulating on twitter that pretty conclusively shows a trap.

More puzzling to me was that the refs let Stanford challenge a catch a couple plays earlier with 1:41 to play.

I feel fairly sure that there's no 'inside 2 minutes' rule for challenges in college, but I could be wrong.
