Have we had a disaster start yet this year?

Depends on your definition, but I'm pretty sure we haven't had a starter give up more than 5 runs.

 

I believe it's ER > IP or maybe ER >= IP. That's what I was referring to anyway.

This one. Jackson gave up eight runs, all earned, in 4 2/3.

 

Samardzija gave up seven runs, five earned, in five innings against Washington on Friday. Feldman gave up six runs in 4 1/3 innings against the Giants but only two of the runs were earned. That's it, though. Jackson's had a couple which were close also (4 ER in 5 IP, 5 ER in 6 IP).
