Apparently the Boston radio stations are pulling sound bites from Chicago radio that make our guys look like we don't know anything about hockey and are playing it on their airwaves.

 

Heard Mac and Spiegs mention that. Will have to see if they put the audio on WEEI's site later. Apparently it was on Mut & Merloni?

Specifically Mac and Spiegel, judging from what they said. They were then mocking the Boston guys for not having enough content for their own show.

I'm listening to the show now. These dudes sound like giant douches...pretty much the Boers and Bernstein of Boston. I used to like Lou Merlonis personality as a player too but whatever.

 

They are taking a barrage of shots at Spiegel now. Presumably because of his tweet.

I dont know, it entertains me for some reason. I consider their shows a mouthpiece to what Boston is thinking/saying. And of course I knew coming in that they would be pompous douches, its somehow satisfying to hear it firsthand.

I'd sure like to think Chicago sports radio isn't our mouthpiece. Though honestly it probably is.

 

I quit listening to local sports talk radio years ago, since it's total amateur hour in St. Louis. Though I guess I could listen to 670 on my phone now, I think I'll just stick with NHL Radio. Especially Hockey Night in Canada radio from 2-4pm. Intelligent, down the middle and they're Canadians. So you know they know what they're talking about.

It was a long game, but I don't recall thinking he was out of place or making mistakes. Can't say the same for Rozsival, though the guy showed amazing patience on the winning goal in letting Bolland and Shaw get to the front of the net before taking the shot.
