Damn it. This offense isn't good enough to lose him for more time. He's also losing valuable rookie development time.

Thought I heard him say he's fine, darn

Players always say they're fine. Never, ever take a player's word for it.

Although arthroscopic knee surgery really isn't that big a deal anymore.

I'd like to see Scott replace carmini this week. Gabe has been awful lately and isn't deserving of a starting spot.

As is being discussed in the other thread, you have to stick with Carimi. You gotta hope he learns and develops, because you can't replace the entire line quickly.

It looks to me like he's slow to move to his right. Isn't he a natural LT? Why not give him some reps there? It's not like Webb is lighting it up over there.

They've always projected him as a RT. They don't think he's quick enough for LT, and if he can't handle RT, I'd say they're right.

Zaidman yesterday said that Jeffery's injury was no big deal, and it was just a 'retape job' and that he could have returned to play if they weren't getting destroyed at the time.

Hmmmmm.

Looks like Chris Spencer will get back in the mix at left guard with Rachal out of mix.

I lost count on the amount of times that a defender came from the backside to make a play on Forte and was Rachal's fault. He also should get credit for one of those sacks where Justin Smith basically backed on top of Campbell.

Wouldn't mind seeing Brown get some playing time, especially if it's at the expense of Spencer who wasn't much better than Rachal.

Id move Louis to RT bring Williams back at LG. Try Brown out at LT and put Spencer back at RG. bench Carimi for the time being.

Carmini demoted.

This isn't a one game knee jerk reaction, his play hasn't warranted further starts. Just because you are a first rounder doesn't give you leeway for sustained periods of poor poopy play.

Carimi's replacement at this point is unknown, but the most likely candidate for the job is veteran Jonathan Scott

"Gabe had some struggles this last game last week," Tice said. "Gabe works hard and is a very good professional for a young player. But at the end of the day, we all have to have better results starting with me because I'm the coordinator. I have to have better results. The players have to have better results. It's a business. That's the way it is. That's what it's about. We have to make decisions and go, whether that's what we're calling, who we're calling it to, who's blocking, who's catching. We've got to go."

The Bears informed both Carimi and Rachal on Wednesday of their demotions, and neither took the moves well, according to sources. When told he'd be benched in favor of Spencer, Rachal left the team for "personal reasons" and was placed on the reserve/left squad list with the club elevating practice squad rookie James Brown to the active roster.

Guard Chilo Rachal, who left the Chicago Bears on Wednesday after being demoted in favor of Chris Spencer, was back at Halas Hall on Thursday morning, according to a league source.

It is unclear if Rachal will be reinstated to the team, but the Bears are seriously concerned about his emotional state, the source said. According to NFL rules, Rachal had five days to report back to the team after leaving Wednesday.

Looks like Cutler is a go for tomorrow.

CBS' Jason La Canfora reports the Bears expect Jay Cutler (concussion) to start in Week 12.

Cutler remain limited in Thursday's practice, but he's "met concussion protocol to this point." Coach Lovie Smith admitted he's "looking better" to play. Barring a setback, Cutler will be under center against the Vikings. That's excellent news for an offense that's perhaps the worst in the league without its starting quarterback. Cutler is Rotoworld's No. 22 quarterback for Week 12.

Yeah, he hasn't played at an acceptable level, Jonathan Scott has to be better than him. It's a shame because Carimi looked fine before the injury last year and needs all the reps he can get since he's so young.

I'd love to see Edwin Williams get a chance at guard or center (let's not pretend Garza has been any good either).
