Hello all,

I know I rarely (if ever) post here, I'm more of a lurker, but I came across something Cubs related that I was hoping I might get some help identifying. While in a used bookstore a couple months ago, I came across a copy of Wait Till Next Year, and having never read it, I figured I'd buy it. Inside the book was a ticket stub of some sort from the Cubs that looks somewhat old, and having no idea what exactly this was, I figured I'd come on here to ask the best Cub experts I know. Below are two images (one the front, one the back) of the stub.

If anyone could tell me what the heck this thing is to satisfy my personal curiosity, I'd appreciate it.

Do a search of ebay, because people always post pictures with their listing.

A brief search tells me this one is pretty old, but it's ripped so I doubt it is going to be worth anything. It looks kind of like one listing I saw from the 1940's.

As near as I recall, box seats rose from $3 to $3.25 in 1973; general admission grandstand and bleachers were less, of course. That ticket is a child's general admission grandstand ticket. I would guess it dates back to the late 60's or early 70's. If it were any earlier, it wouldn't have cost a dollar.

Thanks for the help guys! I was curious as to what this little memento is, and at least now I know it's likely exactly what I thought it was - a child's ticket - even if I'm not entirely sure how old it is.
