I wonder if he's even got one. Seems like a very convenient way to shut him down and open up a roster spot.

Yeah, I meant to put blister in quotation marks.

At 22 years old, I'm ready to leap frog him to Tennessee just to see what happens, as it doesn't look like Alcantara will be back this season and Lake or Watkins could be bumped to Iowa.

@J_Knight94: C's trailing 3-2 in the 4th inning as Cubs prospect Albert Almora (6th overall pick in 2012) leaves after he awkwardly stepped on 1st base

@israelfehr: #Cubs first round pick Albert Almora has left tonight's Boise #Hawks at Vancouver #Canadians game with an injury. Limped to the dugout.

Bollocks.

Boise went into today with a magic number of 2. In the last minute, Yakima lost and Boise won. Boise wins the second half of the NWL East and clinched a playoff spot.

Javier, you can go ahead and start dominating whenever you want. I'm giving you permission.

He's probably going to have off until the middle/end of the week at best with the TS/Hurricane going through Florida.

Boise hosts game 1 of the NWL Divisional round on 9/3. Games 2 and 3 (if necessary) will be the next two nights in Yakima.

With the Shawon-Junior-O-Meter at .300 and a .794 OPS, should he be given another crack at Boise?

Absolutely. as in next year, when theres more than 5 games left in the season.

Dave Sappelt past 10 days: .359/.395/.615. Since the All Star Break: .301/.331/.448. Any reason for him not to be a September call-up? He could split time between CF and RF vs. lefties, against which he has a .331/.365/.452 on the year.

Sure there's not a reason I can think of to prevent him from getting called up. It's late but IIRC he should be on the 40man. He's been hitting well. He shouldn't take time away from Jackson, but yes he's a likely call up in September. Why not?

He was really pouty on twitter every time someone else was called up from IA so I cant speak to any possible personal issues, but I don't know of any.

The AZL Cubs clinched a playoff spot yesterday with their win. They're likely the wild card team in the AZL but they still have a tiny chance at winning the AZL East.

Not take away playing time from him, but between Jackson and DeJesus, they can't play everyday. Unlike guys like Jackson and Vitters, he doesn't have to play everyday, as this is the role he'd ultimately end up with if he sticks.
