This Daury Torrez continues to fascinate me. between 2 DSL seasons, he's pitched in 105 innings and given up 9 BBs. to 73 Ks. To put that into perspective, Zach Rosscup walked 5 guys in 2.2 IP last night.

And Jenner Emterio, 19 has a line of .342/.437/.483 with 2 HR in 144 AB. At 18 in their 1st pro seasons, Gioskar Amaya's was .282/.375/.353 1 HR and Marco Hernandez .286/.348/.388 2 HR.

Haven't seen a lot about Marra. At least one catcher in our system is hitting well.

Admittedly I saw him for just one game (afterwards he was sent back to Mesa), but Marra looked good. Both behind the plate and at the plate. I thought that he was a better prospect then Contreras.

He's probably a better prospect than Contreras (close), but Contreras has spent a few years in the system. Contreras might have a tick better upside defensively, and since he had been in the system longer, getting him up to Boise and getting Marra work in Arizona made sense.

I would agree. I have no problem with how the Cubs handled this.
