Can anyone help with the payroll situation for next year?

I still want to watch the kids and all, but was just curious if anyone had a handy payroll breakdown for the team as presently constructed (and with free agents, etc.)

 

After this season, no other big contracts on the books besides Kill 'em Alf, right?

 

I trust Theo and Co., he needed a new challenge after winning it twice in Boston.

Soriano, Marmol, and DeJesus are the only MLB contract obligations next year playing for the Cubs it seems. The rest is arbitration and other money tied up elsewhere (i.e. Gerardo Concepcion)

Garza will end up making at least 12 mil. More if extended. The only others I can see getting significant raises are Castro and Shark. I'd love to give Castro something nice and team friendly to the tune of 8/100. Is 5/60 too much/too little for Shark, assuming he keeps doing what he's done thus far the rest of the way?

Hopefully, we have Soler on our payroll. If so, we'll likely be around 60 mill, counting Alf, DeJesus, Stewart, Castro, Shark, Marmol, Russell, Soler, Concepcion, and the minimum salary guys. Garza could take up to 15 or so, if we extend him. Hell, maybe they pay him more in the 1st few years, to give us more flexibility later on. Maholm has a pretty team friendly option. If he's not dealt, I can see them keeping him. I don't see us keeping Volstad, Soto, or Wells, unless they really come back strong. Lots of flexibility for sure, depending on what we want to do with it. My guess is BJ Upton is a big focus, maybe Annibal Sanchez. If we go get Upton, I could see a trade involving Brett or Szczur and more, bringing in a SP. But I doubt we take the payroll much above 100 mill until they think of us as being contenders. But who knows? Keeping Garza, adding Upton and Sanchez? That, plus getting help from the farm may be enough in our crappy division as it is.
