"He's not yet the second coming of Tom Seaver after six innings,'' Pirates manager Lloyd McClendon cautioned. "Six innings doesn't really tell you much other than that he's got a great arm. Your headlines tomorrow will say otherwise.''

**** you.

Ha, I remember that comment like it was yesterday.

I was also at that game.

I bought 100 level seats for that game the day before from cubs.com for like 30 bucks. My white sox fan friend insisted on going to watch his first start.

Nice. I remember picking up like 2nd or 3rd row club boxes on the 3rd base for somewhere around 40 on the day of at the box office.

We actually already had a pair (in terrace reserved) for ourselves and only went up to the window to buy some for my buddy's group of friends who decided to meet us at the game. We took the good ones and handed off the terrace seats.

As perhaps the lone holdout who refused to change his handle after Prior left, I feel as though I'm obligated to post somewhere in this thread.

....

I now hate myself for doing so.

Don't give in, brother.

I thought you had changed your handle - so glad to see I have a partner in miserable, futile obstinacy.
