LaHair and Castro are the only hitters worth a damn in the whole lineup. Sad really.

Pretty much. Cant complain about 3-4, but the rest are awful. Personally, I thought it would be the other way around.

Oh, yeah, the Cubs have great 3-4 hitters right now. Stunning insight.

i really don't have a problem with soriano as a person, but i am just tired of watching him play baseball for the cubs.

Only two more years of it.

Nah. He'll be gone before then.

fortunately i think they'll be paying him to go away a lot earlier than september 2014.

Good God, do something for LaHair please...All the guy does is hit. Help the [expletive] guy out.

If he was so great he would have helped himself out.

It's just frustrating that guys in front of him and behind him aren't doing much of anything. Soriano cannot move him over at the least. There's a K :(

If he was so great he would have to rely on other guys to move him over, much less drive him home. What I'm saying is that he's a bum. LaHair is a big fat bum unless he hits a home run every time he comes to the plate.

If LaHair's a bum, what does that make every other hitter we have other than Castro?

Remember today next time anyone wonders "how bad could LaHair be in the OF?"

THINK REALLY HARD ABOUT WHAT YOU JUST DID.

There was a time that I would have said not until we have a viable replacement, but it appears as though me might have one. We just need to find out if he can play the position.

When you have a guy who hits the [expletive] out of the ball with no true defensive home, you find somewhere to stash him, and that place is left field. This is the type of season where you can afford to give him a bit of on the job training.

It's amusing how much crossover there is between the people who think Soriano is some kind of all-time, historically bad butcher in LF and those who think LaHair could be a serviceable OFer. Edited by Sammy Sofa

He has a home; it's 1B. Let him play there until they hopefully trade him.

I swear, I'll make the Cubs win this game if you promise to ban WSR forever. I have powers.

I've never thought of Soriano to be a historically bad LF. A bad LF, yes but not historically. When he was hitting, it was more palatable.
