Just curious when does Boise Hawks start? From what I heard from someone at BN my milb.tv package includes all iowa games (which I knew) and all Smokies and Hawks home games (which I didn't know at first).

I've watched a tiny bit of smokies games. And I'm really curious, if guys like Baez and Vogalbach play short season Boise then that's something I'll definitely want to catch.

It seems like he's been in the system forever, so it's a little surprising to see that Wes Darvill is still only 20. He hit a HR for Peoria, and is carrying a high 700s OPS with a real nice walk rate and some decent pop for an infielder.

That is interesting...Good to know I think I'll follow him. He hasn't been much good yet, but there's likable aspects.

Really eh night...How's Jensen looking?

Call it a stream of consciousness or simply an opinion likely to be unpopular, but I've been wondering it the time does come to call up a new 3rd baseman be it this season ir next, could Adrian Cardenas beat Josh Vitters to the punch? Cardenas is just 2 years older than Vitters, and both have reputations as spotty at best defensive players. Cardenas' career minor league line of .304/.368/.417/.785 is certainly better than Vitters .277/.318/.433/.752, and though he doesn't have the power, and maybe never will he cou;d very well end up a poor mans Starlin Castro or a wealthier mans Darwin Barney at the plate. Cardenas is in his 2nd full AAA season, but last year he posted a respectable .314/.374/.418/.791, making me wonder what caused the offensively famished A's to give up on him when they did, especially considering that between 2B, 3B, and SS they have the struggling Jamille Weeks and a handful of no names with sub .200 BAs and OPS hoveering around .500.

I'm not saying give up on Vitters, and this isn't some irrational love letter to Cardenas but if nothing else have him replace Blake DeWitt.

Man, I can't believe Soto has made it up to AA.

Think his glove could play in the majors?

I always figured he could be one of those Rey Rnez types who could be a useful bench option at league minimum.
