Yeah it coincided with his I'm fat and can't report to camp in shape Phase

Wow, I'm not going to be surprised or disappointed when you get a vacation.

More the constant belligerent idiocy and name calling.

Spring training a couple years ago I think. IIRC, it was before one of his good years.

Found it. At the WBC in 2009.

He proceded to have his worst year as a major leaguer. But seeing as how I don't believe for a second that was the first and only time, it doesn't have anything to do with how he performed.

BTW, welcome to the board Mr Hat (or do you prefer Red?) I see you joined on Friday the 13th!!! Sure you ain't a Cub fan?

Thanks. You can call me Tim if you want a shorter name. I've been a long distance fan of the Cards since the 60s. Most times when I go to a game I wind up talking to fans of the opposing team. I usually learn something from the experience. So I thought I'd try it here as well.

Not much of a crowd here tonite, unlike Wrigley. BTW...it appears that your Boy Freese has begun to come back down to earth. He had one hell of a run for a while.

Really no reason to sit Ian Stewart tonight.

I think the pitching matchup is advantage Cubs enough to overcome the difference in the teams.

Speechless. I couldn't disagree more. I love Garza but this offense is brutal and with LaHair out and Soriano in runs will be few a far between. Isn't the wind blowing in from the lake?

It is. And that favors the Cubs, too. Since we have absolutely no power, there's nothing for the wind to take away.

Anything can happen but to me, the Cards offense + wind blowing in is still much better than Garza and the pathetic Cubs offense.

3-1 Cards

I had the years confused before I looked it up and saw it was his 2nd year in the bigs.
