RK is saying today is the deadline to set my lineup. Am I the only one getting that message?

I sent out three messages.

1) Involved a RP, but it seems that Tim was already aware of this and the issue had been settled.

2) One bench has 5 reserves. But two of those reserves are clearly minor league players. If the owner would just adjust his line-up. He has the open slots in his minors.

3) Is the case of 4 reserves. Three pitchers and one position player. One player has to be dropped.

I tend to keep 3 SP's on my bench. Right now I have 2, but I am not sure if Hart will start the season on the DL. Since I do not want to lose Hart, I have him on the bench, Chapman as a RP, and put Reed in the minors. Tori Hunter is active. Once Hart is playing, I will probably drop Hunter, put Reed back in as RP, and treat Chapman as a SP (Assuming Baker is smart enough to start Chapman) and he will be my third starter on the bench.

BTW - I am not a commish, so if you want contact Tim a get a definite ruling. My interpretation of the rules is off at times.

So if my team is legal but I will have 9 starts if I keep all my SPs in, I can move guys to the bench during the week to keep under 7.

Likewise, if a guy got shelled and I don't want to start him, can I just have fewer guys in my starting lineup to start the week?

And if I can add a FA to get to 7 starts, can I move a guy from my bench to starting to get a 7th start. I have to assume so under the "anything to get 7 starts rule" and allowing a FA add but not a bench swap seems ridiculous.

Today is 3/30.

I just did a quick check and found 3 illegal line-ups. But two of them can be easily fixed. One can take a RP off the bench and put him into the active line-up. He has an open slot. One has two extra players on the bench, but they are minor leaguers and he has more than enough room in the minors. But a third has a bench of 4 players and needs to drop someone.

I sent an e-mail to all three owners. They could have it fixed by the end of today.

I did not check on the validity of the injured reserves, nor whether those players in the minors are legally there.

I am aware of my situation with minors players who need to be moved to the minors. My problem is that I don't currently have a web browser capable of the change. Therefore, if this is an issue, please have someone with commish access move my minors players to the minors.

You can do a bench swap, but your line-up must remain legal. 16 active players and 3 reserves. You cannot have 16 active players and 4 reserves. If you have an illegal line-up with 4 pitchers reserved, then you must have 15 active players. I assume that would mean 4 active pitchers.

I'm saying 19 players. If I have 18 guys on my bench bc I want to humiliate abuck by beating his team with just Lucas Duda in my starting lineup, I can do that, right?

The note about a guy having a RP on his bench being "illegal" suggests that my hypo would be illegal. But I don't think that's true. I think you can decide to bench your RP if you want as long as you have.only 19 players.

True. All I am saying is that I noticed that his line-up was flashing "Illegal". I thought he had not noticed that he had a slot open for a reliever who was sitting on his bench. If he wanted to field a line-up with just one reliever he could, but...

If CBS is set up to prevent any points from being scored if you have an illegal roster, that setting should probably be turned off now, though.

ok i can do that. so how are rosters policed then, we just do it ourselves? i'm not sure how to change the settings to prevent people from having an 8 person bench.

Just check the team you are matched against at the start of the week. also, don't cheat.

The amount of problems we have had has been real small. Usually someone is new, busy with work, or so far out of the race they kind of give up.
