Rose did a full basketball workout yesterday for about an hour, running, sliding, cutting. Apparently the injury was pretty serious, and he had internal bleeding when it occurred. There's some thought he might try to play tomorrow.

Rip has no lingering issues after his play the other night, and should be good to go moving forward

Thibs, his agent, and Foreman, had initial negotiations about a contract extension prior to the season, and it was mutually agreed to table them till after this season. All sides expect a deal to get done there.

oh you mean the 4 games where the bulls played them evenly until lebron made a bunch of jump shots at the end and rose didn't?

the heat outscored the bulls by a total of 11 points in that series.

The Bulls are a deep team that's built to handle the rigors of the regular season better than the stars-and-scrubs Heat. The Heat having superior scorers that help them pull away in a playoff series of shortened benches is not exactly coincidence.

Third best teams don't win 4 of 7 against their superiors. It's weird because this literally happened a year ago and everyone forgot?

I like how you make "third best team" seem all facty.

They lost game 1 by 21 and then outscored them by 8 points per game the rest of the series. Even if that were more evenly distributed, it's not exactly a compelling point. Playoff games are close, especially in later rounds. Given the construction of the two teams, you would expect the Heat to be the team to pull away late as the minutes get more and more concentrated to the starters and the possessions become more and more about individual performances rather than game-planning.

It's actually wildly optimistic considering our best player has an injury that no one knows the extent of and saps him of his greatest strengths and our second best player has one working hand.

Seriously guys, do you think the Heat are worse than last year and the Bulls are better? I don't get it. Were only some of us watching the clinical approach to defending Rose that allowed to us to keep it close but shut him down when it mattered?

If Rose plays, we probably lose to the Heat. If we don't, we lose to the Thunder.

BDL just blowed up Reinsdorf.

I don't understand how people expect Rose to go from barely running and practicing to playing at a MVP level in a few weeks. Shooting 45%?

I think the Bulls will win 1 or 2 games, but they'll be downed by the Heat assuming both make it to the ECF.

I think both teams are better than last year, and I'm presuming that Rose is healthy. I don't think anybody here thinks the Bulls are going to beat the Heat without a 100% Rose.

And if Rose is healthy, I think the rest he's gotten the last few weeks is going to be a major benefit.

If you wanna crown their asses...

But seriously, if the Heat are this powerhouse it would've manifested itself by now. They've played 59 win ball (over an 82 game season) since the Big 3 got together. Very good but not invincible.

No one is saying they're the '96 Bulls. I and others are saying that the two teams that met in last year's ECF are not different enough to reasonably expect a different outcome.

I'm not sure the Bulls beat the Celtics/Magic/Hawks/Pacers 4/5 seed mess without 100% Rose.

And what most here are saying is that the two teams are close enough and there ARE enough differing variables that last year's outcome is by no means a sure thing. Would it be surprising if the Heat won? Of course not; but it also wouldn't be an upset if the Bulls did.

Sure it would. We still have one player who can create his own offense. They still have the best perimeter defender in the game. They can still have LeBron play him one on one and have a big leave Noah to back him up on the block. It's the perfect Derrick-stopping defense and he has no one to pass out of it to.

Rose went through all of practice. Took contact. Thibs is very encouraged. Game time call for tomorrow.

Hahaha it wouldn't be an upset? Are you kidding me? All of the media and NBA world are picking the Heat to come out of the East.

They have 3 All-Star players, one of which is the best player in the world. They have a surrounding cast that is decent enough to role play in the playoffs and play top notch defense. The one weakness they have is something we're unable to exploit completely.

Hey guys, some of you need to buy a dog, and get off the Heat's nuts. Lebrons a chocking dog by the way. Of course we've got a shot to beat the Heat. They are not infallbile. Give me a break. We just need Booze and Noah to show up in the series. We can dominate them inside and on the boards.

Assuming the Bulls are healthy for a match up against the Heat in the conference finals, I think the Bulls will be better suited to adjust to the defensive schemes that were designed to shut down Rose in last year's playoffs.

I don't think the Bulls were prepared with a solution to LeBron blanketing Rose last year. I think they will be much better prepared for it this time. Hamilton and Lucas provide much better perimeter shooting along with Deng and Korver than what they had last year.

What on earth does this mean?

On second thought, I don't want to know.
