And there's the first goal of the PP. Still 3:30 left to kill. This just shifted the momentum of the series completely in Phoenix's favor.

Phoenix 2nd to last on the PP this year, 2/2 tonight

I don't get why it wasn't 5:00 and a game misconduct until Smith embellished the injury. Why not call it initially? Makes no sense to me.

For everyone complaining that our PP sucks, just imagine that this Coyotes team was WORSE than us this year. And they are having no problem on these PPs.

This season might have been much different if we even had average special teams units

Watching the Hawks PP immediately after the Coyotes PP is just [expletive] depressing. That was one of the worst PPs ever

Here's another chance to underwhelm.

The worst thing is, losing this series might help keep the Coyotes in this horrible hockey market.

The positive thing though is that the potential awesomeness of a Florida vs Phoenix finals would still be alive.

Honestly, there is no advantage at all when the Hawks play with an extra man. I would guess if you took the Hawks PP conversion rate, and extrapolated over a full season, they would score less goals than the team actually did this season

What I don't get is..... Toews, Hossa, Kane, Sharp, Seabrook...these 5 guys were on the team 2 years ago when the PP was pretty good. What happened

we really are not getting any good offensive chances at all going back into last period. No prolonged periods in our own zone, its get in there and turn it over or throw up a contested shot that doesnt have much of a chance.

You figure with a team that is known for its great neutral zone play, the Hawks would suck it up and do some dump and chase to get in the zone but no very little of that to be seen

We get these one-off shots and they get actual pressure.

Not as bad that time, but it's not enough right now.

Bollig almost got another one. That would've been funny.

Seem to me the problem in the offensive zone right now is the forecheck isn't aggressive enough. They really need to be crashing.
