I had a chance to go to today's Peoria game, but the other people I was gonna go with said they'd rather go tomorrow. So instead of Del Valle, it looks like I'll see Wallach... kinda disappointed by that. Still, he's at least semi-interesting.

Anybody have anything they'd like me to keep an eye on?

19-year-old SS Arismendy Alcantara has been hitting better of late. I'd want to see how he looks at the plate. I'd love to see what Rubi Silva's batting eye is like. Does he get fooled often and if so by what? And how is Silva's defense? That what I'd be looking for if I was there.

Man, after JJ Cooper's comments yesterday, definitely going to be interesting to see how Dae-Eun Rhee performs the rest of the way. 94/95 with a good change? Dang.

Did he even throw 95 pre injury?

Yeah, my recollection is that he was right around there, maybe a tick below.

I seem to recall it was more 90-92 and could get occasionally higher. Cooper's comments made it sound like he's sitting 94/95, but my guess is that he meant he's topping out 94/95. Definitely gets the antenna up, but the more positive comment is probably that his split/split-change/change is considered good.

That's what got my attention. Lots of guys can throw in the mid to low 90s. Question is can they locate it and do they have something equally effective that's off-speed

You would have seen Liria piggybacking with Del Valle too.

Yeah, I heard 88-92 pre-TJS.

Who is this LHP Brad Hand?

Born in 1990 w/ a good ERA in AA and this is the second time I've seen a boxscore this year where he is shutting down the Smokies offense.

Looks like he has gotten some time in the majors this year already. I see.

Zapata 3-run HR. First HR at Boise (he had 1 at Mesa).
