The Quakers blew a chance to move into the lead for the third play-off spot in the west by blowing an early lead against the Habits. A couple of key injuries have dimmed their chances even more...arg

I will be attending a conference from Monday through Wednesday, so I might not be able to check in.

tommy hanson really fucked me over last week (as did huston street). i believe i could have clinched a playoff spot with a win against tootie.

One of the better races I can remember in the West for the last playoff spot.

Looking at it closer it looks like Alamo could control its own destiny as the only person with a winning record against the 3 other teams and plays Quakers, and Habitual Linesteppers the next 2 weeks.

Against each other:

Alamo = 3-1

Habit = 2-3

Quakers = 2-2

Fuzzy = 2-3

glad i held out for jason kipnis in the halladay trade. he's got 6 home runs in his last 10 games and a .966 ops since arriving in cleveland. i'm expecting ian kinsler-type production as a free keeper over the next 3 years.

holy hell did paul goldschmidt ever hit a bomb to tie the game with 2 outs, 2 strikes in the 9th inning. hit off the face of the second deck in left-center field, which is no small feat in arizona.

in related news he's on my team :-o

yeah, people criticized the timing of that halladay deal, but I don't think anyone can complain about the return you got.

As much as Adam likes to bitch about people that trade with me, I give fair value for what I get.

thanks to chuck's surprising hot streak, i'm likely to have the top pick in both the prospect and the major league drafts \:D/ unfortunately there's no bryce harper this time around; no prospect really stands out as an obvious #1.

I would go Rendon depending on your needs.

BTW, I was in your shoes last season and traded both picks to Tim. :-"
