How does the ump miss that call on the pickoff? That was [expletive] terrible

Major League Baseball umpires have been terrible this year.

Should have been out of the inning.

 

Instead, it's 7-4.

TOP OF THE EIGHTH INNING

 

Wood in (6th) to pitch, Campana in (9th) in lf for the CUBS

Stanton struck out swinging , safe at first on a dropped third strike

Cameron grounded into a DP, 1-6-3, Stanton out at second

Buck hit by pitch

Helms, pinch hitting for Mujica, walked, Buck to second

Hayes in to pinch run for Buck at second base

Bonifacio grounded an IF single to third base, Hayes to third, Helms to second

Dobbs walked, Hayes scored, Helms to third, Bonifacio to second

This year?

Could just be a fluke, but it seems there have been more horrendous calls this year in the games I have seen.
