Week 10

it is week 10.

there's a good chance that pablo sandoval will be activated this week and anthony rizzo may soon be called up by the padres, so i'm looking to clear some space on my major league roster by dealing mike napoli. he's #10 in points among catchers. i'd like to move up about 3 rounds in the draft, something like a deal where i trade napoli and a 6th/7th round pick for a 3rd/4th round pick.

Boy did I have a brain fart when I traded for Napoli. For some reason I was thinking he's eligible at C and 3B, not 1B. Oh well, at least I can use him at U to replace Vlad during interleague play when there's no DH.

Anybody interested in Martin for a mid-round pick?

Not going to get my 7 starts this week since my 7th start is on my bench and pitching today. And it's a no hitter so far. Awesome.

as i'm sure you can imagine, i did take just the teeny tiniest slightest bit of enjoyment from this given your post from a few hours before.

In a sense, I can agree with Adam that you shouldn't be able to just add starters to get your 7 starts if you have pitching starts available. I can support that. To pick up a scrap heap pitcher to pitch in San Diego against the Padres for your 7th start instead of pitching your guy who is scheduled to pitch in Colorado isn't really fair. In that sense, if you didn't think about it by the Monday deadline, too bad.

however, i'll go ahead and be the bigger man here and suggest that you could pick someone up to replace brett anderson and his exploded arm.

Oh yeah, forgot about Anderson's arm blowing up. I better get an arm in there today since I won't have time this weekend. Hopefully Cy Young is hiding on the free agent list and he's got a perfect game in his queue.
