Uber-prospect Bryce Harper hits the block...

Seriously, I'm not certain that I want to part with him, but I'm willing to listen to what teams might be willing to part with to get him. My biggest needs are at 3B, SS, 1B. Elite SP are always good, too.

Never mind. If anyone wants Harper, they have to talk to Chuck. :D

wow, that is an atrocious trade. guess it doesn't effect me too much since tim isn't in my division, but holy [expletive] that's bad.

gordon has zero exemptions left, correct?

Yep.

However, I'm taking a bit of a chance on Hanley's back not being totally fubar and that both of these guys will bounce back from subpar production so far this year. Obviously, I have some confidence they will or I wouldn't have made the deal.

But I'm giving up quite a bit with Harper, an offensive catcher with three exemptions left, a pick that will likely be in the 17-20 range and a player who appears to have finally broken out.

Huh? I think we all know he will not be a catcher in the majors.

Arencibia is the offensive catcher.

Marlins | Hanley Ramirez may undergo MRI

Tue, 31 May 2011 10:52:17 -0700

Florida Marlins SS Hanley Ramirez (back) may undergo an MRI exam in the next day or two. "I feel it doing anything. I can't even put my shoes on. To get up from bed I have to take 10, 15 seconds. I have to do everything slow," Ramirez said. "That's the worst pain I've ever had in my life, in my career." Ramirez said his back stiffness has been a problem for "about a month" and is now affecting his upper left leg.

WORD!

Sounds like his siatic.

Like I say, not quite the steal it first appears to be.

yeah, my problem is that I've got a LOT of those on my team between Morneau, Hanley, Quentin (never played more than 130 games), Beltran. If everyone is healthy and themselves, I should pretty much roll. Chances of that happening are fairly small, though.
