Did Jeff Bakers shoulder injury look serious? Should we expect to see Bobby Scales in the very near future?

He grimaced and kind of limped his way to first. Might be some discomfort, might be a separated shoulder.

Difficult to tell. He grimaced rather heavily as he took a swing and left the batter's box and was subsequently removed for a pinch-runner; there was no collision with a wall or anything that would give us any idea of the severity of the injury.

This would be a great start to the road trip if the Cubs could win tomorrow.

Also let's try Soriano in the 3-hole while putting Castro and Barney back at 1-2, shall we? Castro + Barney + Soriano = quite a few 2 and 3-run HRs.

Of course by the time they do this Soriano will be swinging at balls in the dirt and completely cooled off.

Soriano now tied with Braun for the MLB lead in HRs with 10. Hard to get upset over a .278 OBP when he's single-handedly won us the last two games.

he singlehandedly won us this game?

Garza has been fantastic.

He's tied with Halladay for the lead in pitcher WAR, already better than all of last season. Insane.

Yeah, my initial dislike of this trade looks silly.

If it wasn't for him being incredibly unlucky in a few starts he would have at least 3 more wins and a ERA under 3. I know those aren't the best two stats to judge a pitcher, but are the most talked about/acknowledged. He is a really good pitcher regardless of what his win total and ERA suggest right now.

but...but...FULD! In all seriousness, condidering the state of 3/5 of our rotation, its looking like a great trade.
