I say let Coleman pitch Sunday and skip Russell's next spot

It's just going to move the 5 spot back a day. They can't really skip it. The good news is that the 5 spot only has to pitch once in the next 2 weeks.

When are Wells and Cashner due back?

Haven't they just started a throwing regimen recently?

According to Wittmeir this morningan they're both throwing off flat ground, no mound yet. Wells is at least 2 weeks, Cashner a bit longer.

Officially postponed until July 27.

I'm assuming you mean June 27th since the Cubs are playing a game in Milwaukee on July 27th, and the Rockies and Cubs both have off days on June 27th, with the Cubs playing at Wrigley the next day, and the Rockies playing at the Cell.

Weird, a random period where Both Chicago teams are at home at the same time.

The Sox are playing in Colorado.

That almost looked too perfect.

That was a pretty lame cancellation. It was hardly raining on the North side this afternoon.

Casey Coleman (1-1, 7.43 ERA), who was scheduled to start Wednesday, now will start Sunday in the series finale against the D-backs. Ryan Dempster (1-2, 7.63 ERA) will open the four-game series Thursday and be followed on Friday by Carlos Zambrano (2-1, 5.28 ERA) and on Saturday by Matt Garza (0-3, 4.11 ERA).

Wow. I know it's still only April, but those ERAs for our rotation look pathetic.

Garza's isn't bad, but the others are. Dempster especially surprises me given his good Spring Training.
