What? That wasn't trollbait, the Bulls don't have the frontcourt defense to contend with Boston's frontcourt. If Noah's gonna be chasing Garnett around the court then Boozer, then that leaves nobody in the paint on Perkins/Shaq/Davis. If Boozer's gonna guard Garnett, then he'll drop 30 a game on him.

Miami may be a better team overall, but they're definitely a better matchup for the Bulls

Asik especially has been effective defensively so far this year. I don't know if he'd have the same effectiveness against Boston, but its another option to throw out there 15 minutes of the game. I think when going up against a unit as good as Boston's the key is not to stop, but to slow down. Taj supposedly was really good defensively last year but has been mediocre to below average this year, but there's still promise. I think through mixing and matching we can be competitive against Boston. I definitely don't think we'd win a 7 game series, but that's not exactly slighting the Bulls. Boston is just really deep and really good.

I'm just wondering when Perkins and Baby became these unstoppable beasts in the paint. Boston is the epitome of a jumpshooting team, a very good one no doubt but even their big guys outside of O'Neal are face up scorers or strictly defense and rebounding. Plus the timetable on Perkins is still uncertain.

and lol at Garnett dropping 30 a game on anybody. he's antonio davis now (at his best, granted).

he hasn't been worth fearing since 2008.

There I would disagree. KG has a lot more spring in his legs this year

We're ten games in.

ok combine that with last year's playoffs. And then factor in that Garnett was dealing with serious knee pain the prior year that probably slowed him down a lot.

knees get better as you go deeper into your 30's?

what about last year's playoffs? he really wasn't doing much different then than he did last season or the season before that... and this season he's just averaging a couple more rebounds a game... in more minutes... and we're only 10 games in.

i'm not saying he isn't a decent starter at this point, and that what he's doing isn't very good given his circumstances (his age, his miles, the condition of his knees)... but the days in which he instills fear into opponents are long over (or they should be, at least).

and he won't be dropping 30 ppg on anyone in any playoff series.

I didn't say they get better as they get older just that if he mostly got his knees healthy at some point last year, you could assume his decline was greatly exagerated. Sure he's not the player he was 5-10 years ago. But I think he's been better than last regular season and is once again a player you fear going up against in the low post, albeit in a reduced role and with the opportunity for it all to unravel quickly with a reaggrivated injury.

gibson needs to stop shooting that 15-footer.

Rose needs to stop passing the ball to Gibson (unless they're running plays to Gibson that would normally go to Boozer)

i seriously do not understand how rose gets into the lane on every trip and never gets a call and then that [expletive] gets called.

is there some kind of conspiracy against him? the guy never ever shoots free throws but he gets to the hoop a ton.

rose got hit twice on that last shot, twice. what the [expletive]?

He honestly needs to get a couple technicals for bitching so the refs take notice. Rose and Thibs have both openly spoke out about the topic within the last week.
